Q: Are accommodation and food provided in the costs?+
No, it’s a training-only option. You will need to make your own accommodation and food arrangements for the duration of the TTC. YogaLife can provide a list of recommended accommodation once you are registered for the course if this is useful for you, and you will need to inform us of your address during the training.
Q: Do I need to attend the orientation meeting?+
In order to successfully graduate, you will need 100% attendance in all classes, which does include the orientation session. However, if there are genuine extenuating circumstance, we will assist you with catching up on the missed course content. Please email info@yogalife.org in advance you need to request an absence.
Q: What style of yoga do you teach?+
Our teachings are guided by traditional hatha yoga, which is the basis of all physical yoga styles. Both the adjustments we teach, the methodology and the underlying philosophy are applicable to any style of yoga.
Q: Which elements of yoga philosophy are taught and what texts do you use?+
In this 200 hour course, there is not sufficient time to explore any one yoga tradition in great depth. The texts we use are Pantajali’s Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, which give you grounding in key yogic philosophical principles.
Q: Will I be qualified to teach different styles of yoga, for instance hatha yoga, power yoga, vinyasa yoga or yin yoga?+
You will be awarded an international Yoga Alliance certification, which allows you to register with the Yoga Alliance and to teach in your country. This course will teach you the fundamentals of traditional hatha yoga, but it is not a specialism in any one style. It takes years to develop a specialism and we trust that with our approach, over time, you will be able to develop your own authentic style. What you learn with us will be valuable for any specialism you later develop or hone.
