Q: What style of Yoga do you teach?

We teach traditional hatha yoga which is the basis of all styles of yoga (which practice asana). Our adjustments and teaching methodology are applicable to any style.

Q: Can you tell me a bit about what yoga philosophy and tradition which is taught? What texts are used?

There is no specific tradition taught rather yoga as a whole embracing the diversity within it. The main texts we approach are the Pantajali Yoga Sutras and the Bhagawad Gita. For more details, don't hesitate to contact us.

Q: Would I be qualified to teach a variety of styles when I return home, including Hatha classes, Power Vinyasa and Anusara or if you have to specialize in one when you train?

You will be qualified to teach the style you are most familiar with, and you will have an international Yoga Alliance certificate as long as you become a Yoga Alliance registered teacher. It can take years for a yoga teacher to specialize in one style of yoga. Yogalife teaches you all the basics of yoga, and the keys to yoga, alignment and practice. These keys will help you to develop your particular style which will come out as time goes on. Depending on your level of practice and personality, your own style of yoga will emerge or you will find the style that fits you best.

Q: Is the Orientation meeting compulsory?

One of the criteria for getting the certification is 100% attendance to all the classes including the Orientation session.
